In Memory of Gordon McDonald
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of GTHL Life Member and longtime Mississauga Jets volunteer, Gordon McDonald.
Gordon’s dedication to hockey and to our community spanned decades. He devoted countless hours to the Mississauga Jets Hockey Club, serving as both a coach and Director, before joining the GTHL Board of Directors in 2011. His leadership and commitment led him to serve as Second Vice President from 2015 until his retirement in 2024. In June 2025, Gordon was honoured as a GTHL Life Member — a testament to the lasting impact he made on the game and the lives of young athletes.
We remember Gordon not only for his contributions to the sport, but for his passion, kindness, and the positive influence he had on so many players, families, and fellow volunteers.
Our thoughts are with Claudette and the McDonald family during this difficult time.
