I consider myself to be a hockey farmer and not a hockey coach, you might be thinking “not a coach” that is your title. Yes, I am a coach, but my goal is to grow the players as both hockey players and people.

So instead of coaching we are farming, I am here to grow the players both on and off the ice.  I have over 15 years of coaching experience at the GTHL “AA” level and another 20 years of hockey knowledge gained through doing stories on NHL, NCAA, International hockey players, coaches and organizations via my role in the sports broadcasting industry. I believe that gives me a unique and valuable vision for how hockey is played.

I hold NCCP certifications in Checking Skills, Development 1, and Small Area Games. I believe if priority #1 for me is to make better hockey players, then I need to make them all better decision makers. I believe hockey is chaos, no breakout is the same in any one game…there are so many variables to it, so the players need to be able to make split second decisions based on the variables in front of them.

I have an undeniable passion for the game and I look forward to bringing that love and enjoyment to the Jets Organization. ×
